INTRODUCTION

Pine Island Lumber was founded in 1989 by Craig Ritter and Bob Doll. The next generation of owners, Kory Matthees and Paul Frigaard took over ownership in 2013. Kory brought 17 years of retail lumber and design knowledge. Paul contributes 14 years of retail lumber experience.

HOW WE'RE KNOWN

We serve clients throughout the region and often hear, “Everything in my house is from Pine Island Lumber.” Whether you seek cabinets, flooring, decks or an entire exterior, our top-notch crew is ready to assist. We offer a full fleet of trucks, competitive pricing and knowledgeable staff for all your building, remodeling, new construction and project needs. Our goal has been to stay involved with our area schools, to support their Arts, Athletics and Activities. We Support Local Organizations and Groups to build relationships that will last a lifetime.

We also take pride in building relationships with contractors, homeowners and Do It Yourselfers.

BUILDING TIP

If you visit a big box store, their plan is to sell you what is the easiest to get you out the door with the least resistance. Generally, PRICE is the hot button with very little to no Knowledge or advice. When you visit a Pro-Yard or an independently owned lumberyard, we suggest the items that we would be most comfortable putting in our own home. We feel very comfortable saying that if there is more than a 1%-2% price difference in a product, you probably are NOT comparing like products.
